The AIGA DFW board is composed of volunteers working together on a shared purpose: uniting local designers in genuine community for collaborative support, increased opportunities, creative inspiration, and meaningful connection with like-minded individuals. AIGA DFW board members play an active role in every aspect of the organization’s success, from contributing ideas and developing relevant programming to serving as design advocates and engaging the community to ensure that DFW is a place where design thrives for everyone.
The opportunity to serve on the board of directors (or as a program chair) allows a hands-on outlet for passionate creative industry professionals to dedicate themselves to impacting our local design community by leading meaningful initiatives. In addition to position-specific duties, all directors are required to maintain an active AIGA membership, participate in monthly board meetings, attend an annual weekend retreat, be regularly present at local events and programs, and act as a brand steward for our local chapter and the national organization.
