Business skills can be a bit daunting to anyone, especially for those of us who are more creative-minded. From contracts to intellectual property questions, it can be hard to understand the parts of an efficient and organized operating system that will actually help you better serve clients while protecting your creative endeavors.
So we've collected the experts to bring you The Artrepreneur’s Toolbox: Business Skills for Designers. This jam-packed event features 4 speakers ready to share their in-depth knowledge in back-to-back presentations filled with everything you need to know to be protected, prepared, and paid! Then, we’ll bring all 4 on stage for an open panel, so that you can ask the experts those specific questions we know you have. Our panelists will shed light on the most common challenges design professionals face—and how to avoid them, including:
- Pricing & Pitching: Finding your formula for success with Jonathan Burks, Sr. Creative Director at PRITCHETT, LP
- AI Dos & Don'ts: Understanding ethical use of AI in design with Christian Pedigo, Technical Strategist at Saatchi & Saatchi and Tanner Williams, Senior UX Researcher at 7-Eleven
- Personal Promotions & Propaganda: Keeping steady business beyond traditional marketing tactics with Ramsey Ruelas, Owner of RuelasCreative
- Contract Clarity: Writing contracts that protect you—and your work with Melissa Gray, Intellectual Property and Business Lawyer / Founder & CEO at The Law Spot
Doors open at 6pm for an opening social hour and our speakers will take the stage at 7pm. So snag a ticket and order a new Moleskine for this night of actionable knowledge! Don’t miss the chance to learn all the basics you need to succeed in your own business.

Our volunteer will be in the lobby from 6:00-6:50. Please arrive on time and bring everything you need with you, as you will be unable to come back up if you go to the ground floor after 6:50pm.
Accessibility
The venue is on the 7th floor and will be accessible by elevator. The parking garage has elevators at every level. There is a slight curb on one side of the elevator bank doors, however, there is no step on the other side of the bank that will be accessible.
