Our History & Mission

Founded in 1914 as a small New York City club of graphic artists, printers, publishers, and illustrators, AIGA (American Institute of Graphic Arts) has grown into a nationwide network of 70+ chapters. From setting industry standards to staging exhibitions, we’ve always looked ahead—innovating and reshaping how design meets the world.

For AIGA Dallas (est. March 19, 2003), that mission endures—and expands. As the world evolves, so do we. Design remains our core, and we recognize it’s woven into every field. That’s why our community welcomes all creative disciplines—anyone who incorporates design and visuals in their work.

Who We Are

AIGA Dallas is a volunteer-driven nonprofit building a strong, inclusive creative community. We unite local creatives across design, UX, product, research, tech, AI, innovation, strategy, and education to foster support, expand opportunities, spark inspiration, and create meaningful connections.

Who We Serve

Our membership spans students, emerging professionals, working practitioners, educators, and leaders across many industries. Through resources, events, workshops, and networking, we help build relationships, advance careers, elevate craft, and strengthen the North Texas creative–tech ecosystem.

Part of a National Network

As part of AIGA—the largest community of creative advocates—we amplify the voice of our profession, uphold global standards and ethical practices, support education, and empower professional growth. We make tools, resources, and opportunities accessible to all who believe in the transformative power of design and creativity.
