AIGA DFW is calling for passionate community members to join us in 2022, serving as board officers and event chairs. As our current leadership terms come to an end, several new positions are opening, and we’re excited to get new faces involved.

If you’ve imagined that joining the AIGA DFW Board is an elite process with secret handshakes, that couldn’t be further from the truth. Your local board members are everyday people, mostly designers, who give free time to serve the design community.

Now is your opportunity to do the same. If you’re ready to join us in supporting designers at every stage of their careers and building DFW into a community where design thrives for everyone, consider one of the following positions:

Programming Director – Manage our events calendar and guide events chairs. This role does not execute every event, but does help event teams stay on schedule and sweat the details.

Education Chair – Engage and support local design educators and AIGA student groups through programming and campaigns.

Partnerships Chair – Pursue mutually beneficial relationships with organizations that support design and designers, from event co-hosts to venues.

Event Chairs – No event happens unless someone leads the way! With the guidance of the Programming Director and support from the Board, you can bring an event or series to life without a hitch.

Communications Committee – Join this team to help maintain our website, social media, and/or promotional programs from the comfort of your couch.

Diversity & Inclusion Committee – Join this team to help us ensure that the interests of all DFW designers are represented in our chapter.

Membership Committee – Join the team that gives back to those who support us, from running community projects like The Deck to planning event freebies and perks.

Volunteers – Greet event attendees, scan tickets, or help set-up or tear-down an event. If you have time, we’ll happily use your help.

Why volunteer? AIGA is a network of passionate design professionals. If you’re just showing up to events, you’re not getting the most out of us. Volunteering is the surest path to building relationships with design leaders, not just in Dallas/Fort Worth, but all over the country.
