Interactive Design and Development Essentials Using Flash

This two-day workshop at the Aquent Graphics Institute consists of hands-on labs, exercises and lectures. Course includes textbook and one attendee per computer, a choice of Mac OS or Windows.

Attention, designers who are looking to expand their skills into the interactive and animated world of Flash design! This course introduces the essential skills required to get started creating Flash content, including animations, ads and interactive web content. Attendees will learn:

• Interactive design considerations
• Creating user controls
• Creating and importing objects into Flash
• Understanding file formats
• Drawing techniques
• Animating objects
• Using color, gradients and transparency
• Basic object controls
• Publishing and posting interactive content

Target audience: Print and web designers who want to expand their skills to create interactive online content using Flash. Users should have fundamental skills with Photoshop, and either a print or online design tool, such as InDesign or Dreamweaver. Previous web design experience is not required.
